Courses & CERTIFICATIONS at a glance
SatProf offers a wide range of online, interactive, self-paced courses covering technical and business topics in satellite communications and space.
Many courses lead to certifications. To get certified, you simply enroll in a Training Membership, complete the appropriate online courses, then take the online certification exam. (Some certifications also require a hands-on skills test.) The table below lists all the available courses and certifications.
The Training Membership gives the student one year of unlimited access to most courses and certifications.
All recertifications may be done online by taking the current version of the certification exam. You do not need to repeat a hands-on skills test to recertify!
Exams for recertification are included in the Training Membership.
Certification and recertification exam prerequisite courses may change over time. For example, you may need to enroll in and complete a new edition of a required course before you can open the exam to recertify.
SatProf administers certifications on behalf of GSOA (previously GVF) and SSPI. Certifications are valid for 3 years after date of issue.
Certifications are granted by the online learning system when the student meets all requirements. Those are:
- Completion of required learning courses (per the table above)
- Completion of an online final exam (most certifications; see table above)
- Completion of a Basic Hands On Skills Test (HOST-B) for SPB and SPA certifications only. All other certifications can be completed online.
